The permanent deformation rate refers to the ratio of the inside diameter of the rubber tube after shrinkage to the original inside diameter before support due to the elastic memory of the rubber material after temperature change and long-term storage.



The smaller the permanent deformation rate of the cold shrink tube, the better the elastic memory of the rubber, after long-term storage can still maintain enough radial pressure on the main insulation interface of the cable, so as to ensure a long-term safe operation life, that is, safer, more durable.
It is stipulated in relevant standards that the permanent deformation of the silicone tube after the support is removed is less than 10%;

The permanent deformation rate of Volsun high ratio silicone rubber cold shrink tube is less than 5%; And the permanent deformation of EPDM cold shrink tube is less than 8%.
