The development of new energy vehicles and advanced electric drive systems is creating increasingly diverse demands for functional materials. From electrical protection and thermal management to insulation and lightweighting, material selection plays an important role in the performance and reliability of automotive components.
Against this background, VOLSUN (Suzhou Volsun Electronics Technology Co., Ltd.) joined the 33rd China SAE Congress & Exhibition (SAECCE 2026) and the 2026 AITX Automotive Innovation Technology Exhibition, held in Suzhou from October 27 to 30.
At the exhibition, VOLSUN presented its material technologies and application solutions, engaging with industry professionals on the practical challenges faced by automotive electrical systems and related components.

Addressing Diverse Material Requirements in Automotive Systems
Modern automotive applications involve a wide range of operating conditions. Components may need to withstand electrical stress, temperature fluctuations, mechanical wear, and demanding environmental conditions. Different materials and protection technologies are therefore required to meet specific application needs.
VOLSUN highlighted four areas of its material portfolio at the exhibition:
1. Electrical Protection for Motor Systems
Shaft grounding rings provide a conductive path for shaft current, helping protect motor bearings against electrical discharge damage. This technology is relevant to electric motors used in new energy vehicles and other industrial drive systems.
2. Thermal Management and Electronic Potting
Silicone thermal pads and thermal conductive potting materials support heat transfer and component protection in electronic assemblies and power-related applications.
3. Insulation and Wiring Protection
Functional insulation materials help protect automotive wiring harnesses and electrical connections, supporting insulation performance and protection under different operating conditions.
4. Metallized Carbon Fiber Composite Materials
VOLSUN also introduced metallized carbon fiber composite materials, demonstrating its broader development in functional material technologies and specialized applications.
These four areas represent different approaches to addressing the performance requirements of automotive and industrial products.

Understanding Applications Through Direct Industry Exchange
Beyond presenting its products, VOLSUN used the exhibition as an opportunity to communicate directly with engineers, manufacturers, and other participants in the automotive supply chain.
Discussions covered practical requirements for thermal conductivity, electrical insulation, protective performance, and lightweight material applications. Understanding the actual working environment of a component, along with the customer's manufacturing process and testing requirements, is essential when evaluating material suitability. Such exchanges help bridge the gap between material development and real-world applications. They also provide valuable input for future product improvement and application development.

Building on Industry Connections
As automotive technologies continue to develop, the demand for reliable and application-specific functional materials will continue to evolve.
VOLSUN remains committed to exploring material innovation and strengthening its cooperation with customers and industry partners. By combining product development with an understanding of application requirements, the company aims to provide practical material options for automotive electronics, electric drive systems, and other industrial applications.
VOLSUN sincerely thanks all visitors and industry partners who connected with the team during SAECCE 2026.
